Pasta is one of my favourite go-to hangover foods!

 

This vegan & gluten free recipe offers a fragrant allium aroma with a delicate peppery taste.

 

Enjoy this deliciously nutritious meal without feeling guilty and let the spices alleviate your hangover woes.

 

 

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 25 minutes

 

For 2 people

Boil

  • Hot water
  • Penne pasta: 2 cups

 

Lightly fry

  • Coconut oil: 3 tbsp
  • White onion: 1 chopped
  • Garlic: 2 gloves crushed
  • Shiitake mushrooms: 3-4 chopped
  • Apple cider vinegar: 1 tbsp
  • Chili flakes / paprika: 1/2 tsp
  • Spinach
  • Tomato purée paste: 5 tbsp
  • Black pepper: 1 tsp
  • Himalayan Salt: 1 tsp
  • Coconut Sugar: 1 tsp
  • Nutritional yeast (inactive): 1 tsp
  • Pasta

 

 

Methodology

  1. Bring pasta to boil for up to 10 minutes.
  2. Drain pasta and leave to cool.
  3. On a medium heat, apply two table spoons of coconut oil into a saucepan and combine the ingredients (except nutritional yeast) in the order shown above for 10 minutes.
  4. Add the boiled pasta and nutritional yeast last.
